Cre@te connected with Barrel 22, a hot sauce producer based in British Columbia, about developing some digital marketing key visuals that look professional and elevate the product as a gourmet brand. The final ads drew strong engagement on the company’s social media and boosted sales of their holiday gift box.
The design team took on a more rustic tone for the ads’ visual direction, as a nod to Barrel 22 being a small farm-based company in rural Canada.
The ads are kept relatively simple to highlight the unique qualities that make Barrel 22 stand out: barrel-aged, fermented flavor that can be seen through the bottles.
To produce professional-looking visuals on a small budget, the team utilized 3D rendering to create the scenes. 3D rendering would achieve photo-like realism while allowing for easy iteration of the scene, such as swapping out product SKUs or making quick lighting changes.
Cre@te’s 3D artists reproduced the Barrel 22 products and packaging down to the finest detail, like the texture and composition of the sauce seen through the bottle glass, to faithfully reflect the real thing.
Choosing 3D rendering over photography produced high-quality results in a more streamlined and budget-friendly process, allowing for quick edits without the need for expensive re-shoots.
